About

Scorchtide is a survival city-builder about one island, one colony, and one merciless summer. Late in development.

The seas rose, the grid died, and twenty-six survivors washed up on a scorched island with a salvaged cooling core. You have 92 days until the rains return. Every one of them gets hotter.

  • Heat is the enemy. Ambient temperature climbs all summer; heatwaves spike it into deadly bands. Cooling coverage, housing insulation and water rations decide who survives the afternoons, and the nights that stop cooling.
  • Water is the currency of life. Stills, desalination and a caldera pipeline against a colony that drinks more the hotter it gets.
  • Resolve holds it together. Deaths, thirst and overwork bleed it; shade, successes and honest choices rebuild it. Run dry and people walk into the sea.
  • Construction is labor. Nothing builds itself: crews walk to the site and work in the same heat as everyone else.
  • The Great Heatwave is coming. Late August. The forecast will warn you. Nothing you built casually will be enough.
  • Choices with teeth. Story dilemmas, expedition quests, a lighthouse keeper who might join you. Every reward costs something real.
  • Then do it again, hotter. Survive and continue into escalating summers with off-season projects, or retire your colony with its stats on record.

Deterministic simulation, data-driven balance, three difficulties (Relaxed / Standard / Brutal). No accounts, no telemetry, no internet required: your saves live on your machine.
